Carlos has stretched his lead at the top with an impressive 100 points on the week.

The Northern contingent are breaking into the top 5. However, not all of our Northern friends had a great week, Mr Andrew 'hold your head in shame' Flynn was low point scorer of the week with a pitiful 31 points.

1 Carl Rooney Carlos Vandangos XI 100  152
2 Gavin Dalziel ThatsWhatSheSaid 70  121
3 Kevin Barnes Very Tired 75  119
4 Ricky Thirkell rickytfc bluemoon 63  118
5 Julian Christopher Small Soft Hamish 76  117

A special mention this week to BEN MCKEE who is the only one of the 47 current participants to have managed to get his name in capital letters in the super league. Well done BEN.

Rachel would like to pass on her thanks to Ben Turnbull with his magnificent Munchen Clungebach team replacing her in 47th place. Is that really with 8 subs done? Could be a long season for Mr T.

I know of at least 8 teams still to go in to the league and anyone having difficulties let me know and I will contact The Telegraph for you.

Thats all for now...Gertchya

The week day fixtures are behind us with a full weekend to come. We now suspect that one of Ricky Ts' teams might be totally CITEH as he mustered a magnificent 0 (that's NIL) points.

Jons' points are superb and only took a couple of subs!!

Well done Carlos, a great effort to be first and third.

No subs used by me so far and a respectable 10th place with only 6 starters on Tues and Weds.

With 47 in the league the top 5 stand as:

1 Carl Rooney Carlos Vandangos XI 41 93
2 Jonathan Hill LikeWaterOffADucksAs 55 87
3 Carl Rooney Carlos Vandangos XI 37   82
4 Andy Harris Mutant Lamport Ducks 31 78
5 SimonJames Trowbridge Again Goose Pate 25 77

A special mention to my daughter

Lovely, there goes 2 points!!!

Hellloooooooo

Well then the first weekends results are in, although I do appreciate that a lot of you have not managed to get your teams in to the Super League yet. Remember to get your £10 payments to me as soon as possible. The Super League details are on the Banta Board and can be obtained directly from Andy or myself.

A huge well done to Ricky T for being the first leader, who said money could not buy you success!! I can only assume that Derek Wallace has a little liking for Everton. Personally I was saved by Cesc who performed well and will be kept in my team for another week or two. I believe all 11 of the squad started which is a first for me.

No update on Aldershot this week as we were done by a dodgy ref in the 94th minute, still am off to Bournemouth now to see if we can do any better tonight.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any disasters with your subs or your initial choices were somewhat poor. Obviously I will not share them with any others

Ooooh, Thursday 13th, Shrove Monday, Palm Saturday...

Helloooooooooo......

Well the Belta season is almost upon us and excitement is reaching fever pitch with discussions in the south of Englands premier drinking establishment turning to the merits of 4-4-2 vs 3-5-2 vs 4-5-1.

A number of people have been surprised by the initial Spooner entry being reasonably attractive with a 4-5-1 line up. Almost all are certain that by the 4th week of the season this will be destroyed by transfer blindness.

The super league is taking shape slowly but I would like us to all see if we can get friends to enter to see if we can increase the membership fo this year.

On a more serious note Aldershot only went and won their first game. What is that all about!! Highlights can be seen here>>>

Looking forward to the opening games of The Premiership and the first league tables for The Belt.

All rise for the Chairman...

Hello all and welcome to Belta 16 P Y T.

So that you all can have a laugh throughout the season I thought I would publish my initial team and then update it at crucial times during the year. So this is Wills' starting XI:-

Cech Evra Carvalho Clichy Johnson

Fabregas Valencia Pienaar Arshavin Kut

Torres

The players most picked so far are:-

Reina, Johnson, Gerrard and Torres!!!

I can only assume that this means that Liverpool will win the league?

Now you all know I have an interest in Aldershot so I may keep you up to date with them as well, first fixture at home to Darlington this Saturday!!

More from me during the following weeks, good luck and get as many of your friends to join as you can.

Chairman William
