The Belta Masters 2006
"Beware the disabled golfer"

The year I will never forget. A bad knee, a disabled badge, a heart and four great rounds...that's how I tell it...? (ditching a 34 by the way)
The last day/last group round I was part of, still stands as my favourite ever round of golf with Dad, JC and BerTy.
A very serious affair indeed, the title swapped hands several times on the last day, I thought Dad had it after nine. But as the last few holes were played it was mine or BeRtys to lose!! Who could forget the scenes at the last hole par 3. BeRtY who had played great all day (finished level by the way) pushed his tee shot OB!! My five iron that followed was the first time I had ever been nervous playing golf. And the rest, as they say.... ;-)
The previous years winner Mr Flynn put in his worst ever Masters
performance. Cut to 12 and with a Neil Roberts inflicted dead leg he limped in with 8 points on Friday after a half decent first day.
This was the lowest scoring Masters and only one of the scores features on the Masters Hall of Fame (Bert 37 Beeches)
